TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps announced that the odd-even policy on toll roads will continue to be enforced during the 2025 Eid al-Fitr holiday return traffic, which is expected to peak between April 5 and 7, 2025.

Korlantas Polri's Head of Operations, Grand Commissioner Aries Syabudin, hoped that through this traffic engineering, the vehicle flow could be well-distributed.

"The purpose of the odd-even system is actually to ensure that the public can divide the density levels on the roads that will indeed experience congestion," said Aries Syabudin in a written statement on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.

He stated that there is currently an increase in traffic flow towards tourist destinations. Several traffic engineering measures are also implemented locally at specific points.

He said that the situation was generally conducive as of yesterday, Wednesday, April 2.

Korlantas Polri is still monitoring several tourist routes to ensure that they remain conducive.

"We are mainly monitoring tourist routes such as the Puncak route, then other tourist routes such as Malang, and in the Dieng and Lembang areas. This is our attention," said Aries.Previously, the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo predicted that the Eid al-Fitr return traffic would start from April 5, 2025.

The Police deployed 164,298 combined personnel to secure this year's Eid al-Fitr homecoming and return flow.

"The peak of return traffic is expected between April 5 and 7, 2025," said the National Police Chief on Thursday, March 20, 2025.

A total of 2,335 posts have been prepared, including 1,738 security posts, 788 service posts, and 309 integrated posts.

For Operation Ketupat 2025, the Police are coordinating with various stakeholders, including the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), National Search and Rescue Agency, Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics (BMKG), Ministry of Transportation, and the Boy Scouts.
