Best Chrysler Deals: August 2011 Lease and Purchase

Chrysler incentives and discounts for August are slightly better than last month. That’s probably because Chrysler saw only a slight sales increase in July compared with a year ago. Sales of the Town & Country are down compared with last July. If you’re shopping for a new minivan, August is a good month to negotiate a lower price, since dealers may be more willing to move the Town & Country off the lot.   

August Chrysler deals feature zero-percent financing on all four models. The Chrysler 200 sedan has zero-percent financing in August for five years or a $2,000 cash allowance in most regions. Compared with taking the cash allowance and using a five-year loan through your bank at 4 percent, you’d save $3 a month, or $189 total, by using your bank’s financing this month instead of Chrysler’s zero-percent deal.

Chrysler’s 39-month August lease deals are fairly decent compared with other brands, but you may save money by shopping the competition. You’ll need about $3,000 down to lease any Chrysler car or minivan this month. The Chrysler 300’s August lease deal is $349 a month for 39 months with $2,999 at signing. Compared with the Chevrolet Impala’s August lease deal, which is $299 a month for 39 months with $3,899 at signing, you’d save a total of $1,050 by choosing the Impala in August.

The Chrysler Town & Country’s $2,000 cash allowance deal this August is not as good as the Nissan Quest’s $750 cash incentive. If you take the cash and use financing through your credit union at 4 percent over five years, you’ll save a total of about $1,400 by choosing the Quest.
