Conductor Andre Previn and violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter have divorced, her office has announced.
The German couple, who married in 2002, were rumoured to have separated three months ago, but have only now confirmed their divorce.
Previn, 77, is one of the world's most renowned conductors and composers. Mutter, 43, was his fifth wife.
The pair played extensively together before their marriage, and Previn wrote a Grammy-winning concerto for Mutter.
Born in Germany, Mutter began her career in 1977 with Berlin's Philharmonic Orchestra.
Previn's family fled Nazi Germany in 1939. He later became a composer for film studio MGM, and won Oscars for Gigi and Porgy and Bess.
He was principal conductor of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra from 1987-1991, and has received numerous honours, including Germany's Commander's Cross of the Order of Merit.
The conductor was previously married to Hollywood actress Mia Farrow with whom he adopted daughter Soon-Yi Previn, the wife of director Woody Allen.
