Vertigo 2005: Live From Chicago (Interscope)

"This is the 'Vertigo' tour, forever," announces Bono on the least of U2's three live DVDs, following 2001's Live From Boston and 03's Slane Castle. Blasts of Boy, from a snippet of "Stories for Boys" in "Vertigo" to Bono acting out the black cat of "An Cat Dubh," electrifies the first hour, but the UN infomercial in the back half bogs down save for the magic "Running to Stand Still." A Vertigo trifecta at the end, particularly "Original of the Species," rebounds. The deluxe version pads a light-headed doc on a second disc while doubling the price.
