Your Miami HEAT announced today that they have acquired Andrew Wiggins, Kyle Anderson and a 2025 protected first round draft pick from Golden State and Davion Mitchell from Toronto in exchange for Jimmy Butler, Josh Richardson, two second round draft picks and cash considerations in a five-team deal that sends Butler to Golden State, Richardson, a 2031 second round draft pick and cash considerations from Miami to Utah along with Kenyon Martin Jr. and a 2028 second round draft pick from Detroit to Utah, Dennis Schröder, Lindy Waters III and a 2031 second round draft pick from Golden State to Detroit and P.J. Tucker from Utah to Toronto along with a 2026 second round draft pick and cash considerations from Miami.

Wiggins, a 2022 NBA Champion and NBA All-Star, has appeared in 43 games (all starts) with the Warriors this season averaging 17.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 30.1 minutes while shooting 44.4 percent from the field, 37.9 percent from three-point range and 77.7 percent from the foul line. He recorded 36 double-figure scoring games, including 17 20-point games and two 30-point performances. He posted three double-doubles, including a career-tying 13 rebounds with 10 points at Utah on October 25. Wiggins led the team in points 12 times, in rebounds on five occasions and in assists once. He recorded two four-point plays, both in the second quarter, against the Rockets on December 5, marking the first time he has accomplished the feat during a single game in his career and the last Warrior to do so in the same game since Kevin Durant on February 14, 2018. Additionally, Wiggins, the number one overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft and NBA Rookie of the Year, has averaged double-figures in each of his 11 career seasons, including over 20 points three times.

Anderson, an 11-year NBA veteran, appeared in 36 games (three starts) with the Warriors this season averaging 5.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 15.0 minutes while shooting 45 percent from the field. He scored in double-figures five times, including a season-high 13 points at Toronto on January 13. He shot at least 50 percent from the field 19 times, including eight-straight games from November 22 through December 6. He recorded six multi-block games and six multi-steal games, including a season-high five swipes against New Orleans on October 29. Additionally, Anderson has made the postseason seven times, including two Western Conference Finals appearances.

Mitchell, a first round pick (ninth overall) in the 2021 NBA Draft, appeared in 44 games (22 starts) with Toronto this season averaging 6.3 points, 4.6 assists, 1.9 rebounds and 24.6 minutes while shooting 43.4 percent from the field. He scored in double-figures 11 times, including in three consecutive games from October 28 through November 1. He scored a season-high 20 points on November 6 against Sacramento and posted an 11-point, 11-assist double-double on October 30 at Charlotte. On the defensive side, Mitchell ranks seventh among the 49 players that have defended the ball-hander in at least 500 pick-and-rolls, allowing just 0.90 points per possession. He also ranks 10th of the 218 players who have defended at least 60 isolations, allowing just 0.72 points per possession.

Butler played five and a half seasons in Miami, helping the HEAT to the NBA Finals in 2020 and 2023, appearing in 316 regular season games (all starts) averaging 21.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 1.67 steals.

Richardson appeared in eight games with the HEAT this season averaging 4.0 points, 1.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.00 steals in 18.7 minutes of action.
