ABOUT ESS-DIVE
The Environmental System Science Data Infrastructure for a Virtual Ecosystem (ESS-DIVE) is a data repository for Earth and environmental sciences. We collect, store, manage, and share environmental systems data created through research sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy. The volume, complexity, and diversity of this interdisciplinary data — including natural and urban systems — makes information challenging to capture, store, verify, analyze, and share. We provide resources that help with project data management needs.
OUR DATA
ESS-DIVE stores critical information generated from research funded by or related to the DOE’s Office of Science Biological and Environmental Research program (BER) under its Environmental Systems Science (ESS) activity. This include a variety of observational, experimental, modeling and other data products from a wide range of ecological and urban systems.
