Relegated National League One club Barrow have terminated coach Peter Roe's contract because of "crippling" financial troubles.
Roe was contracted to the end of the 2006 season but the club say they can no longer afford a full-time coach.
A statement said: "The board had no choice but to be up front with Peter, and the coaching post will now operate on a part-time basis."
Roe said: "I'm not leaving with any anger or resentment."
In his second spell at Craven Park, he guided the Raiders to their first trophy for 20 years when they won the League Two title a year ago.
But they were relegated after winning just one of their 18 matches.
