As a complement to the main [English Wikipedia], the articles? on this site attempt to use simple language rules. There are two important reasons to do this:
Basic Rules
Any word or term that may be considered a name, idiom, or other not common term, should be in quotes and linked to a page of its own, so that it can be explained. To add articles from the English Wikipedia?, copy articles to this site, and then remove words that are too complex. It's not as important to limit the words to a small number, as it is to be explanatory -- as if to a child -- the meanings of words, phrases, and even idioms, that they be easier to translate. Limited use of [foreign characters], should they be useful, can be included on pages -- most importantly Chinese, and Arabic as these have a broad appeal.
Definition articles are welcome?, as well as combined word definitions. The purpose of this wiki is to attract as many non-English speaking people here as possible, hence there should be little emphasis on rules as possible here. If you want, please read How to write simple English articles. The basic rule is that you should try use only the most common 1000 words in English, but this is only a suggestion.
