I would love to obtain Timeless the original album on vinyl with inner city life, pressure and Jah included. Recently you have been out of stock. Please email me if you come into some stock. (It has a white cover with the face in a shape in the middle in blue, UNLIKE the black covered version available without the first three tracks on the original album.) I would pay several hundred quid for vinyl with the original inner city life, pressure and jah on it and I'm on benefits. There you go then!
Cheers,
Mike Munn

Is there anything I can even say about this that hasn't already been said in the past decade and a half?

Classic album.
Reviewed in the United States on January 25, 2008
Well since I'm not in the mode where you just feel like you can't review for _____, I'll review this album as well. Besides, it only took me about 20 seconds or so to write my _________ review for Tago Mago.
Forget the label of "best drum and bass album ever", this album doesn't even come close to resembling pure jungle music. It's got the jungle elements, but Goldie mixes it up. Bigtime. Rooted in that signature jungle sound, he adds singing, atmosphere, sound effects, hard hitting beats (with plenty of accents), it's just so hard to describe. Every sound is placed in a great place, from basslines, hits, vocals, and all of the other stuff. If you like big beats, you will find them here, and these rhythms can get very addicting. It did grow on me, like crack. These rhythms on here grow on you a lot.
Another album that would be perfect for listening to in the downtown area at night, Timeless is urban cool and emotionally enganging. The urban cool thing is always hard for me to describe, but this urban cool thing has always been able to bring up this emotion that sticks with you. Therefore, it's not about the image (even though it sounds like an image thing, it's not), just this certain emotion that lives beneath a lot of people. At least for me. If you can't pinpoint my emotion, than ______ you then. I can make up my own emotions that are personal for me, and for me only. If you don't like that, ______ you.
There are only eight songs, but this album is very long. One of the reasons is that 21 minute epic title track. This song provides a lot of different hooks, intros, segues, and a wildly varied bag of sound effects. State Of Mind features a real drummer and keyboards, with great vocals that give Tracey Thorne (Massive Attack) a run for her money. Saint Angel and Angel, two tracks that share a similar style, are split images of each other. Sensual and You and Me both have beats that are kicked back. Kemistry is a dedication to the Dj of the same name, and Sea Of Tears, you have to hear that one. Not a minute wasted in this nearly 80 minute album.
If you came here thinking it's going to be the pinnacle of mindless drum and bass, it's not. While it's not released here I will never know, but no worries. If you are a fan of electronic music, this album is a must listen.
Also, I was a fool not to get the two cd version. If you can find it, snag that version instead.

I can't give it five stars as it's a bit short but still, it's a must-own for any Goldie fans.

I first got into drum and bass when I was working in Yokosuka, Japan. A friend of mine named Chris was playing this speedy ass musis that i hated, used to talk smack to him quite a bit; after a while I actually started listening and got into it; so much to the fact I believed that its Hip hop's future progression. That was 2004; bring it current day I was watching the evolution of house music (born and raised on the south side of chicago; raised for a while in Englewood in the 70's baby! Long Live 63rd street!). and towards the end the documentary got on drum and bass then Goldie came on! Remembered him from the james bond movie also heard about his music but they said that the "timeless" album was one of the greatest of all time. I went on Youtube and listened to the 20+ min track andI was GONE! IT WAS BEYOND COCONUTS AND BANANAS!!!! That is the track of the century. the rest of the cd is solid to me. Of course I bought it on amazon!!! I had to have it; I produce music myself so I can appriciate good music and will pay for it. Even today "Timeless" can hold its own..

Amazing record and amazing reissue!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on April 23, 2021
The album itself should need no introduction, it's a stone cold classic.
I've been waiting to get a copy of this on vinyl for some time but second hand copies have been going for hundreds. Seeing this new reissue being announced was (literally) music to my ears.
The triple gold vinyl plays well for coloured vinyl. Sometimes coloured vinyl can be hit and miss but this sounds great to my ears.
The packaging is stunning... Triple gatefold with some really well thought out liner notes. Is there anything better than some great words to read about the vinyl you're listening to?
I sometimes find triple vinyl albums are super thick and a bit of a pain to reinsert the records and inner sleeves but this so far all slots together like a dream.
I already imagine a day when these sell out and are difficult to locate just like the original copy.
I can't recommend it enough....banger of an album...amazing packaging...great liner notes and great value - enjoy every note :)

Heavily warped
Reviewed in Australia on November 3, 2021
All three discs are heavily warped. It's probably because of the non-black colour.

Echo en falta algunas pistas
Reviewed in Spain on June 10, 2013
