Fergie has confirmed that she is writing new material for a solo album.
The Black Eyed Peas singer promised that she is definitely releasing a second solo collection, but was unable to confirm a date.
"I'm just writing - I have a bit more time now to sit out at my balcony and get inspired and I'm doing a lot of that," Fergie told E! Online.
"With the chaos of a tour, I didn't get a lot of time to do that, so now I'm getting all these ideas and feelings and writing them down and kind of nurturing them."
Asked if we will get another solo album, Fergie replied: "Oh yeah, it will come definitely. That's a promise. When is something I can't promise. When it's ready! I just want it to be great - I don't want to rush anything out."
She added: "I just want to something that's real and feels organic and good. And that I'm proud of."
Fergie's debut album The Dutchess sold over six million copies worldwide and was certified triple platinum in the US.
The collection spawned the hits 'Glamorous', 'London Bridge', 'Clumsy', 'Big Girls Don't Cry' and 'Fergalicious'.
