The remains of a September 11th victim were identified just weeks before the 10th anniversary of the terror attacks, the city medical examiner announced Tuesday.

A DNA sample was used to identify New York City resident Ernest James, 40, who worked in the World Trade Center as a risk manager at Marsh & McLennan brokerage firm.

On Sept. 11, 2001, 2,753 people were killed when a pair of planes crashed into the 110-story towers. Of those victims, only 1,629 have been identified.

DNA evidence was used to make 91% of those identifications, the medical examiner said.
