comedyAnime whose central struggle causes hilarious results. These stories are built upon funny characters, situations and events. A comedy anime is laced with humour and sets out to provoke laughter from the audience. Japanese humour can be a bit strange to westerners, so if you`re new to this type of humour, just bear with it; it`ll most likely grow on you if you`re a fan of other kinds of comedy., mechaMecha in Japanese basically means mechanical things; everything from an electric whisk or a car to a spaceship or a robot. Here however we limit it to the more exotic things usually referred to as mecha anime: robots, whether controlled by a human or not, and their ilk., newNot based on anything, the story is a new work, usually made up by the people involved in creating the anime. Generally if an original work (原作げんさく) credit is given, it will be to the studio, or director, or other members of the production team., robot helperIn a science fiction setting, the robot helper is, in a comedic sense, pretty much equivalent to what the "cute comic relief animal sidekick" is in a fantasy setting. The usually small machine has artificial intelligence, enabling it to support their owner / master with advice or help with menial tasks.

Androids should not be considered robot helpers since these are far more complex; use the android tag instead.
, science fictionScience fiction stories usually focus on how situations could be different in the future when we are more technologically advanced; due to either our own achievements or having met with other civilizations whom we have learned from., short episodesShort episodes are regular episodes that are much shorter than the standard length. This means up to and including 10 minutes; shows with episodes that are 11 to 20 minutes in length are half-length episodes instead. Not to be confused with multi-segment episodes, which are regular episodes that are split into several short segments (parts), usually with separate titles and independent storylines.
* Based on the short stories of legendary SF writer Hoshi Shin'ichi, who wrote over 1000 short stories.

Each episode is two minutes long, and Seiichi Yamamoto is providing the music. "Kimagure Robot" was sponsored by Yahoo! and released free on Yahoo! Japan's portal. If successful, the studio hopes to be able to make at least 100 episodes - possibly even 200, depending on the response. After the first ten episodes, the rest of the episodes would be produced not only by Studio 4°C but also by various artists from around the world, so that the series is in fact intended to eventually become a sort of showcase of a variety of animation techniques and styles, like a sci-fi version of Nihon Mukashibanashi.

Also known as spoofs. It can also refer to when whole elements of one work are lifted out of their context and reused., romanceRomance describes a story that deals with love between two or more characters typically also having an optimistic ending. Romance is also a difficulty encountered when creating a harem., school lifeSince a large part of the anime audience still takes part in school life or is visiting college, it is only natural to choose a setting the audience can identify with, be it elementary, middle, or high school. For the older viewers a college setting with more mature real-life problems is appropriate. And since clubs take up so much time in the lives of students, these are obviously also important., seinenSeinen, literally "young man", is one of the main demographic classifications applied to manga, and, by extension, to anime, especially manga-based ones. As the name implies, seinen works are marketed primarily to an audience of young men; the age range commonly understood to be the target of such works goes roughly from 17 to somewhere in the 40s.
Freshman Enomoto Chihiro, called Happy Fortune by his friend, just transferred to Rikkyouin High School (winning the admission lottery). Chihiro lost his parents in a traffic accident when he was ten, and has been living with his older klutzy sister Shinobu since that time. Good at cooking and cleaning, he does all the housekeeping chores.

On the first day at school: it is love at first sight for Chihiro meeting Akiyama Tokino — a mushroom nut — in the school library. And Ritsuko Kubel Kettenkrad — childhood friend and student council chairman — has always liked Chihiro.

Here, at Rikkyouin High School, all decisions are made by the lot (kujibiki), and even students are chosen by lots for the entrance exams. And so a one-year competition among the candidate groups (four partners) for the position as the next school counsel leaders begins.

Note: This is actually a "play within a play", an anime in the world of Genshiken. Only three episodes have been produced: 1, 21 and 25.

The Digital World is becoming so overpopulated that the super computer Yggdrasill who governs the Digital World can no longer handle it. Its solution is Project Ark: to wipe out most of inhabitants with the X Program. Yggdrasill chooses a very small percentage to be moved to a new Digital World and then proceeds to destroy the old one. Some Digimon who were not chosen survive anyway and they move to the new world with a rare gift known as the X Antibody; this antibody changes their appearance and makes them more powerful, while at the same time making them immune to the X Program. No longer in control, Yggdrasill uses the Royal Knights to destroy these X-Digimon, who are outcasts in the new Digital World.

A long time ago...
As evil pervaded mankind, God grew angry and decided to destroy the world. However, there was one person on the defiled earth whose soul was righteous and humane. Thus, God summoned an angel to earth to inform Noah of the imminent Armageddon, allowing Noah to build a large ark to avoid the disaster and handed him a cane as a symbol of life.

A panda overheard the angel and Noah's conversation. And the news was spread out in the panda village. The pandas decided to make a plan to save themselves by imitating Noah's idea of building an ark. Soon, rain fell and flooded everything that was living and non-living. Suddenly, Noah's ark rose into the air along with the pandas' boat.

The storm severed panda's tiny boat and the pandas were tossed out into the galaxy by a strong wave and onto some unknown planet. During the flood amidst the thrashing waves, Noah lost his cane.

A long time afterwards...
On the planet where the pandas began to settle, there is an island called "TV Island." On this particular island, the pandas' sole enjoyment is to buy a "TV seed," plant it, water it, fertilize it and wait until the seed gradually sprouts into a television. Everyone lives happily on TV island. However, one day havoc eroded this peaceful land. Evil corrupted the hearts of the benevolent pandas; and soon, they grew hostile to each other. This is like a disease without cure. Legend has it that when the dark cloud covers this land, the evil will pervade the Panda Planet. This is the doing of a great evil sorcerer. If so, who and where is this evil sorcerer?!
Toby, a panda from the countryside who is also caught in this destruction, decides to save all fellow pandas on TV Island. The fearless Toby is determined to solve the mystery by relying on his courage, optimism and curiosity. His virtues are contagious and infected the friends around him. Together Toby and his friends have a common goal: to save the world. In this new adventure, they discover a sheepskin, chronicling the prophesy of the staff, the seven beans with mysterious powers and the seven warriors who can control these beans. Finding these seven beans and the seven warriors are the only way to avert the disaster on the Panda Planet.

This is their destined purpose. Along the way, they will bypass the Wisdom Village, Olympic City, the Food Castle, Fairy Land and the fantastical Valley of Ice. They will face many perils and predicaments; and finally, the final stage would be to combat with the evil sorcerer in the Kingdom of Darkness.
