I was pretty skeptical going into this series. There have been a number of series which follow this same format, but the deviation here is that the MC isn't some OP character. He has a skill which he needs to use to become stronger through his ties. That's actually more appealing to me than the general, "I was born with super OP stats and everything is easy for me."

All that said, this series had a pretty decent variety of (slight) romance, some sadness, humor, and some absolutely endearing moments.

It's not perfect, but it is definitely above average on the isekai front.

Give it a go, I doubt you'll regret it.

Coming from someone who played the game, I'm not sure I'd recommend this anime to someone who didn't. The anime is still really good and almost identical to the game. The music, artwork, story are the same as in the game minus some minor changes. Those 12 episodes are basically the first and second playthrough of the game which are seen by 2B and then 9S. I'm expecting the next season to finish the story which would be the "third" playthrough.

With that said, I enjoyed this anime but in my opinion, the game had something else that made it better. Despite that, the best is yet to come if the story continues to be exactly like the game. So I'm looking forward to the next season.

Comfy beautiful fantasy. Makes me feel good about life.

This takes place where sorcerers and knights are bitter enemies and the MC is a powerful sorcerer who purchases an elf and over time both of them develop feelings for each other. In the beginning, a fair amount of events happen but the pacing slows down towards the middle. I wouldn't classify this as a romance series as not much happens on this front. Overall, there is no main narrative/plot; however this is a decent series that has magic and fantasy elements.

This anime is weird, in a good way. Especially near the beginning, the comedy style is basically for the characters to do something ridiculous and over the top, but play it completely seriously. With that on top of a fairly dark mystery plot, gives this a unique flavor I haven't seen before. If you've watched a lot of anime and think you've seen everything, give this a try. You may not like it but it's certainly interesting

Slower pace with slice of life moments.
Still good. (But could be better here and there).

It's a Chinese anime, these tend to start slow and explain or develop things towards the end. It's just how they write series, this time it's more annoying because the books are dark and they tried to push for more comedy. The novel is very good and the anime only compliments it with amazing animation, soundtrack and supporting cast.

Season 1 covers volume one of 4 or 6 depending on release. Stay away from this for a couple of years to make sure it's moving, there are multiple upcoming projects for this franchise and it's likely story releases will stall again as in ~2015 when the original series was discontinued (and quality dropped).

Isekai! The genre with MANY and I mean, MANY iterations!

Quite the different and REFRESHING take this time around. The MC is NOT OP, matter-of-fact, hes just a normal person. Well, besides the fact, that he has THE MOST OVERPOWERED skill for his new station in life!

The ability to see peoples aptitudes, and lead them in the right direction! A very SATISFYING and simple premise, yet, VERY effective.

Came into it with little expectations, left thoroughly surprised and fulfilled!

With a second season on the way, its a Simple decision. Just watch it.

As Moon"Lit" of a Sequel as you can ask for!

Admittedly it had a SLOW start, and had the introduction of MANY characters. Even though it slogs at times, the first half is necessary to properly set up the second half!

The second half of this season is NON-STOP animation GOODNESS. The animation team did NOT have any chill towards the end of this series. It literally MAKES UP for such a slow start! So much so, that you kind of forgive it for it. ITS THAT GOOD!

With a season three on the way, what more could you ask for!?

You follow the story of Tank who created his party. I would say that anime is below average. You have to really like RPG elements in anime to watch it.

Advice to everyone who started watching this: if you don’t like the stupid absurdity of the first and second episodes... just watch further. The general intensity of madness remains, in general, but the whole concept of the series becomes more serious. Much more serious. In fact, I'm very happy to watch this series because it showed a very interesting idea of what everything is happening here for. It's really worth it. 8/10.

This is a low stress romance series that follows the MC who moves to a small town and makes female friends that overtime have feelings for him. The female characters are likeable, but the MC is bland; although the overall romance is easy-going despite a lot of stereotypes. Initially the ending took a different angle which I thought was cool b/c it was different then all the other romance series... only for a big "just kidding" which was disappointing. Overall, this is a self-contained romance series that doesn't need another season, it's good where this ended.

Interesting progression, this season focused heavily on the revelation of our protagonists, limitation and crime. It revolves around him fighting to the top for his life. Lots of action sequences, there is little character or story development replaced almost entirely by the action. Aspects of this series I found funny and was looking forward to didn't quite carry over to the second season which overall I found lackluster and disappointing.

Fun and a bit unique sport series. A bit of comedy, seriousness, drama, and excitement -- everything is just a sprinkle.

The strength lies in its production quality, but plot-wise it can be often disappointing because of the main plot device. The amnesiac MC can be very lame to some.

If you enjoy anime with RPG elements, this title should be a good fit. It features a typical overpowered main character who conceals his strength.
But if you are not a fan of this type of anime, I would recommend staying away, as the anime is average.
I enjoyed the series because I am a big fan of that type of anime.

So cute I thought I was going to get diabetes. HanaKana is an angel, and makes everything 10 times better. Perfect casting. There's no drama here, just heartwarming fluff. Perfect if, like me, you enjoy relaxing romance shows.

the first two seasons started off stupid, funny, and had some ecchi. it was enjoyable, though i'm not a huge fan of ecchi; but season 3 was really really good.

it was much funnier, doubling down on all the antics and tropes that made the previous seasons (and movie) good, but all done way better. while the ecchi was there, it became more of a trope and i found it much more tolerable

but what really made this season so good was how it tied a lot of loose ends together from previous arcs in a very sensible way; and the ending was extremely satisfying. at the end of the day it's a story about friendship and it's so so so wholesome. highly recommend!

honestly i liked the series thus far, but wasn't a huge fan. this movie was much better than i expected, and had a very satisfying ending

This is made by Production I.G. and that's enough to tell you that there is quality here, but, even if that part is ignored, this is really good.

Good story, good development with a decent number of twists (knowing the story after watching an episode or two is lame), tons of good old action. It's something really well made that I personally haven't seen in years.

If you enjoy anime with a ton of good action and story development, this is a must see.

To the ones comparing this to X: if you want more of X, go watch X. Nothing is new, everything is created based, and also inspired, on something else.
