The collection also includes one letter signed written by an amanuensis (MA 231.21) and an autograph document signed (MA 231.4) in which Locke nominates Lyde to be his attorney. Most of the letters discuss currency problems and the management of Locke's estate. Items in the collection are described in 26 individual records (MA 231.1-26)
