Overview

The Office of Non-Clinical Education Programs (ONCEP) is designed to support the range and versatility of non-clinical educational and workforce opportunities at Mayo Clinic. Programs are primarily internship-based experiences in research or administration. Though not directly involved in patient care, each learner will contribute to Mayo Clinic’s mission.

Students accepted into these programs will participate in the following ways:

  • Engage in a structured educational experience at the leadership of an appointed program director and assigned preceptor(s)
  • Learn critical skills relevant to their course of study according to established program goals and objectives
  • Interact with Mayo Clinic faculty and staff
  • Attend virtual and in-person meetings, lectures, and experiences

ONCEP provides centralized oversight and support of these educational programs on Mayo Clinic's campus in Jacksonville, Florida; Rochester, Minnesota; and Scottsdale/Phoenix, Arizona.
