Description

This is a Judges of Hastings (still going strong) postcard from 1911-1912 showing the new Queen Victoria Memorial and the old facade of Buckingham Palace which would be refaced in Portland stone in the summer of 1913.

The six bronze statues which adorn the memorial today were not put in place until some years later, four in 1914 and the remaining two in 1924.
