Description
Español: Escudo de armas del cardenal hispano-panameño José Luis Lacunza Maestrojuán OAR. Fraile Agustino Recoleto. Obispo de David. El lado izquierdo: el Escudo de Armas de la familia Lacunza, originario de Navarra. En campo de oro, dos lobos de sable puestos en palo. Bordura de gules con dieciséis aspas de oro. El lado derecho: es el escudo de la Orden de los Agustinos Recoletos. La parte inferior: Una palmera, en un terreno rodeado de agua, que representa a Panamá. Rodea el escudo una correa o cinto, distintivo del hábito de la orden a la que pertenece. Su lema, en latín, dice: præsumus si prosumus.
English: Coat of arms of the Spanish-Panamanian cardinal José Luis Lacunza Maestrojuán OAR. Augustinian Recollect Friar. Bishop of David. The left side: the Coat of Arms of the Lacunza family, originally from Navarra. In a field of gold, two saber wolves on a stick. Gules border with sixteen gold blades. The right side: it is the shield of the Order of the Augustinian Recollects. The lower part: A palm tree, in a field surrounded by water, which represents Panama. The shield is surrounded by a strap or belt, distinctive of the habit of the order to which it belongs.
