Hana Kimura Memorial Show Set For May 23

On the anniversary of her passing

Kyoko Kimura recently announced a memorial show for Hana Kimura will be held on May 23 at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan. The show is named "See You Again" and will take place on the anniversary of Hana's passing. Tickets for the event will go on sale at the end of the month.

Hana Kimura passed away on May 23, 2020, at the age of 22. She was a cast member on Terrace House at the time of her passing and the reality TV series depicted her as a villain. She received a torrent of online abuse following a March episode of the show where she slapped a fellow housemate's hat off their head after they ruined her Wrestle Kingdom 14 outfit in the washing machine. Kyoko Kimura has previously said the interaction was staged by the producers of Terrace House.

Tokyo Metropolitan Police believe Kimura committed suicide as a result of the online harassment. They confirmed in December that approximately 300 hateful messages were sent to Hana from 200 accounts following the episode.
