Die so genannte Sex-Sucht Klinische Aspekte süchtigen sexuellen Verhaltens
Abstract
Angesichts der wachsenden Popularität der sog. Sex-Sucht in den Medien und der Zunahme an wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten zu diesem Phänomen wird in diesem Beitrag versucht, Informationen über Formen des klinischen Bildes, Auffassungen über dessen diagnostische Klassifikation, Daten zur Epidemiologie und ätiologische Konzepte zusammenzutragen. Schließlich werden Ansätze der Prävention und Behandlung der »Sex-Sucht« skizziert. Die Übersicht zeigt, dass das mit dem Terminus verbundene klinische Bild im Hinblick auf seine Phänomenologie und Ätiologie noch relativ ungeklärt ist und empirische Studien zur Diagnostik und Therapie noch selten sind.
In view of the increasing popularity of the so-called sexual addiction in the media and an increase of scientific work related to this phenomenon, this article tries to review information about different forms of the clinical picture, conceptions of its classification, epidemiological data and etiological concepts. Finally, contributions to prevention and treatment are summarized. The review shows that the clinical picture connected with the term sexual addiction is far from being clear with respect to its phenomenology and etiology, and that there is further need for empirical studies on assessment and therapy.
