Glasgow tram 1245 was built in 1939 [1]and was removed from passenger services in 1962 and was used to shunt trams to be scrapped until 1963 when the power to the tramway was turned off.

The tram was moved to East Anglia Transport Museum 1969–1998 and Blackpool Transport's Rigby Road depot 1998–2002. Summerlee Museum gained ownership in 2002[2]

Restoration started on the tram in 2011 and 3 out of the 4 motors on the tram and 1 truck have been completed. Work has started on the bottom half of the tram[3]
