L'Astura, un des modèles les plus importants de Lancia, était animée par une nouvelle version du V8 à angle fermé. Il avait été porté de 2, 6 litres à 3 litres sur l'Astura série III en 1934, à l'époque où le modèle avait également été doté de se freins hydrauliques et fut proposé en version à châssis court 3100 mm) ou châssis long (3330 mm). La série IV était basée sur la version longue qui attira quelques uns des carrossiers les plus en vue de l'époque et fut largement utilisée comme véhicule officiel par les différents services gouvernementaux.Peinte dans sa livrée d'origine noire avec intérieur gris, cette imposante Astura est décrite par le vendeur comme étant dans son état d'origine non restaurée et, en dehors d'un intérieur rafraîchi, est pratiquement intacte et en bon état de marche. En fait, au cours d'une récente inspection, la voiture a démarré du premier coup. Longtemps intégrée à la collection du Museo della Polizia à Rome, on pense que cette Astura a été utilisée dans deux grands films classiques dans les années 1970, Poussières d'étoile et Le Jardin des Finzi-Contini. Vendue avec son Estratto Cronologico italien.
