Decorative beadwork and panels were later added to the bags as accessories to formal clothing for various ceremonies or societies, such as the Midewewin Society, a group responsible for preserving the health and traditional learning of the Ojibwa people. This particular bag was probably made for a child.” The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, IMCPL Digital Collections
