The following is a list of writers who have worked on the Fox animated television series The Simpsons in the order of first credited episode (by broadcast). As of April 7, 2024, 152 people have been credited with writing or co-writing at least one episode of The Simpsons.

Although series developer James L. Brooks has never been credited with writing an episode of the television series, he did co-write The Simpsons Movie and the theatrical shorts The Longest Daycare and Playdate with Destiny.
