FRESHMAN (2013):Named a Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American, named Co-Freshman of the Year in the Mountain West and earned All-MW second team honors … hit .280 and led the team with 47 walks to boast a .412 OBP … scored 58 runs, had nine doubles, and tied for the team lead with five triples … finished the season strong as he reached base in each of the final 26 games … earned MW Player of the Week honors April 29 after going 6-11 (.545) in a three-game sweep of UNLV at Lobo Field, which included him hitting the game-winning sacrifice fly in the 10th inning of a come-from-behind 14-13 win … scored a season-high four runs at San Diego St. on May 18 … hit his only home run of the season against Nevada in the Mountain West Tournament … set a new UNM record by recording 16 sacrifice bunts … tied a MW record with 26 walks in conference games, and set a new freshman standard in the conference with 100 defensive assists in league games … named both Academic All-Mountain West and a Mountain West Scholar-Athlete.
