A man who was wanted on a province-wide arrest warrant and believed to be carrying an axe was arrested over the weekend.
Nova Scotia RCMP confirmed on social media that 26-year-old Brandon Crawford Grant was arrested without incident on June 22 around 2:30 p.m. near Musquodoboit Harbour and West Petpeswick Road.
Earlier, Mounties reported the man was spotted June 19 in a wooded area near that area, around 50 kilometres east of Halifax.
RCMP had issued an alert about the man after officers responded to a report of a man in distress who damaged a home with an axe and ran into the woods.
