Olivier Roques appointed CEO of BENEO

BENEO, a prominent manufacturer of functional ingredients for the food, feed, and pharmaceutical sectors, has announced the appointment of Olivier Roques as CEO and a new member of its Executive Board of Directors at BENEO GmbH, effective from 1st June 2024.

Olivier Roques brings over three decades of experience in the international ingredients industry to his new role. Holding an engineering degree in agronomics and a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Roques began his career in the dairy and flavour industries. He later spent more than twenty years in leadership roles in the USA and Europe at Agrana Fruit, a leading manufacturer of fruit preparations, where he held positions in sales, food safety and quality, and new product development. Most recently, he served as CEO of Agrana Fruit Europe.

In his new role at BENEO, Roques will also oversee all sales and marketing activities as Chief Sales Officer, succeeding Dominic Speleers. His appointment coincides with a period of significant growth in BENEO’s plant-based functional ingredients portfolio.

Commenting on his new position, Roques said, “I’m really looking forward to working with the people and products of BENEO. The portfolio supports the company’s purpose to contribute to better nutrition and health. We will continue to create strategic partnerships with our customers around the globe and adapt to their market needs.
