Jamie Lever, actor-comedian Johnny Lever’s daughter, is popular for her hilarious videos on social media. The content creator, in a new Instagram reel, imitated actor Sharmin Segal’s character Alamzeb from Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. Jamie shared her version of the viral shayari Alamzeb recites for her love interest Tajdar.

In the video, Jamie, holding a cup of tea, says, “Ek baar chai pee lijiye, deewana bana dijiye” (Have some tea, make me crazy).” She then picks up a bouquet and says, “Ek baar sungh lijiye, parwana bana dijiye (Smell it once and make me your lover).”

Next, she has a jalebi in her hand. “Ek baar kha lijiye, mota bana dijiye (Please eat it once and make me fat),” she says. To end the video, Jamie holds a coconut and says, “Ek baar pee lijiye, garmi mitta dijiye (Please drink this once and help me beat the heat).”

The text on the video reads, “I’m Sharmin-da.” She captioned it as, “After effects of #heeramandi #ekbaardekhlijiye.”

Shared on May 18, the video garnered over 5.8 million views. Many users are demanding Jamie to impersonate celebrities including Farah Khan. Reacting to the video, a user commented, “Can you do one Farah Khan, Kangana Ranaut ,Sonam Kapoor and Asha ji – Heeramandi edition.” The video also caught the attention of Punjabi actor Sonam Bajwa, who dropped laughing-out-loud emoticons. “You literally nailed Alamjeb’s expressions,” another user wrote.

“How you managed those lips so perfect,” a third user wrote.

Sharmin Segal, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s niece, is being trolled for her portrayal of Alamzeb in the Netflix show. It also stars Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Richa Chadha and Sonakshi Sinha.
