Fatmawati Soekarno Airport
Fatmawati Soekarno Airport (IATA: BKS, ICAO: WIGG), formerly known as Padang
Kemiling Airport, is an airport in Bengkulu, a city in the Bengkulu province of
Indonesia. It is located 14 km from the city center.
The Airport is named after Fatmawati Soekarno Airport on 14 November 2001, the
First Lady of Indonesia, wife of Soekarno, the first President of Indonesia.
Terminal Facilities
With the inauguration of the well equipped and modern terminal on 11 January
2017, the Airport now able to provided better and comfortable environment for
its passengers. The new terminal is able to increase the passenger capacity of
350 thousand passengers per year to more than 1.5 million passengers per year.
The new terminal building stands on an area of 12 thousand square meters of
total land area of about 152 hectares. The new terminal has a modern design and
is equipped with additional amenities such as food courts, executive break room,
internet facilities, disabled toilets, as well as a room mother and child.
Other facilities include 12 check-in counters, 3 departure gates, and 2
jetbridges.
The operation of the Airport is managed by UPT Ditjen Hubud, an agency under
Ministry of Transportation, Indonesia.

Taxi: Various taxi, minivan taxi and car rental services are provided by numerous service
providers outside the arrival hall.
Car Park: There are plenty of vehicle parking space within walk distance
outside the terminal.
Technical Specification
The Airport is resides at an elevation of 15 m (50 ft) above mean sea level. It
has one runway designated 13/31 with an asphalt surface measuring 2,470 m x 150
m (8,103 ft x 492 ft) in length.
With the 2,470 m length runway, the airport able to accommodate the Airbus A320
and Boeing 737 aircraft.
