Shor
(1972)

An emotional film
Manoj Kumar directed and starred in this 1972 film, the film revolves around the relationship of a mute son and his father. Shor means noises which is emphasised through out the film. Manoj Kumar gives a great performance as the father of the boy, for whom he tries to raise money for his son to have an operation so that he can talk. The ending is emotional and unexpecting. There are many great songs in the film. There is also a bit of romance in the film, the female lead is played by Jaya Badhuri. This is a sad film but it has an excellent story line which makes a change.

Dhadkan
(2000)

A beautiful film
After watching this film I now consider this to be my favourite film, Akshay Kumar plays the role of Ram, a family man. He gives a strong performance, which makes a normal change from his action films. Sunil Shetty plays the role of Dev, his performance for me in this film was brilliant. Shilpa Shetty's role was worth watching due to the emotions being displayed through out the film The storyline was different, but I think the ending perhaps was a bit disappointing. The songs in the films are romantic and beautiful, I have two personal favourite songs, which are two of the main songs in the film. Both Akshay and Sunil give a brilliant performance, portraying their characters emotions. This is a must see film for fans of romantic films, worth watching for the star cast.

Pardes
(1997)

A Brilliant Film!
This is an excellent film, Sharukh Khan gives an astounding performance as Arjun, Mahima Choudhary puts a lot of effort in to her character as the chemistry between Mahima and Sharukh shows throughout the film. This is a different film from the others as it concentrates on the differences between countries. The songs in the film are also meaningful and romantic. Overall, this film is one of my favourite films.

Andaz
(1971)

A romantic film
I can remember watching this film about five times and never getting bored of it, this is due to the story line being different to other films. It wants to make you want to fall in love, watching it. Shammi Kapoor's and Hema Malini's chemistry through out the film is superb as they both fall in love with each other. The songs are nice, especially the theme music. I've been a Shammi Kapoor fan for a long time and to me this was one of his finest role in his film career, and he still looks handsome as ever! This film for me will always hold a special place in my heart, as it is the only old film I like.
