Sleeping medication is not a substitute for good sleep practices

A simple “stoplight diary” for your migraines is highly recommended. Mark calendar days as red, yellow or green based on how you feel.

• Green days: mild impairment in function.
• Yellow days: moderate impairment in function.
• Red days: severe impairment where you may be bedbound

Bring your diary, list of questions, medical records, and personal and family medical history with you to the appointment. And be honest with your healthcare professional.
