                             NOTICE FOR CONVENING OF THE 26^TH NATIONAL GENERAL CONVENTION

The Vice President of the Media Council of Tanzania (MCT) hereby notifies MCT members, in accordance with Article 13 of the MCT Constitution, that the 26th National General Convention (NGC) of the Media Council of Tanzania (MCT) will be held in Dar es Salaam on Friday, September 27, 2024. The Venue and time of the meeting will be determined in due course.

The proposed agenda at the 26^th NGC is as follows:

1. COpening;
2. Adoption of Agenda;
3. Introduction & Remarks of newly appointed MCT Executive Secretary;
4. Confirming Minutes of the 25^th National General Convention held at the African Court of People and Human Rights conference, in Arusha on September 28, 2023;
5. Matters arising from the 25th NGC;
6. Report of the Executive Secretary;
7. Adoption of 2023 Audited Financial Statements;
8. Appointment of External Auditor for the period ending December 31, 2024;
9. Election of MCT President/ Ratification of appointment of MCT President;
10. A. O.B;
11. Closing

MCT members who have not paid their annual subscription fees by the deadline are reminded to do so immediately.
