Seattle Reign FC midfielder Jessica Fishlock returned to the Moda Pitch at Memorial Stadium on Saturday, June 6 and made every minute count. The Welsh international scored a goal and recorded an assist in Reign FC’s 3–0 win over Sky Blue FC. As such, Fishlock has been voted the NWSL Player of the Week by the media for Week 9 of the 2015 NWSL season.

In the 8th minute, Fishlock received a pass from Kim Little, carried it toward the 18 and dished it over to Winters. Winters took a cut inside and buried the shot under Sky Blue FC goalkeeper Brittany Cameron to put Reign FC up 1–0.

The midfielders’s goal came in the 28th minute when Fishlock was able to connect with a cross from defender Stephanie Cox and head the ball past Sky Blue goalkeeper Brittany Cameron, giving Reign FC a two goal lead at halftime.

This is the second time Fishlock has been honored as the NWSL Player of the Week in her career since she first received it during Week 2 of the 2013 NWSL season.

Seattle Reign FC will return to action Saturday, June 21 at 1:00 p.m. PT against the Boston Breakers at Soldiers Field Soccer Stadium in Allston, MA.
