Your iPhone might run iOS 18, but it ain't getting all the new features.

If you own an older iPhone — the iPhone 13 Pro Max, for example — you’re probably looking forward to installing iOS 18 on it later this year.

However, while your iPhone 13 may run iOS 18 just fine, some marquee features will not work on it — texting via satellite, for example.

In fact, the iPhone 13 and a bunch of older Apple devices will miss out on a variety of features when Apple rolls out its operating system updates later this year.

The missing features in iOS 18 are resource-hungry, and will require the very latest hardware to run. This is also true of iPadOS 18, macOS Sequoia and watchOS 11.
