    Hello fellow Tildians,

I'm considering a move from Northern Virginia (NoVa) to Raleigh, NC, and would love some insight from those familiar with the area. I'm in my 20s and curious about the scene down there.

Although I haven’t spent much time in NoVa, one of the main reasons I’m looking at Raleigh is that NoVa feels like it has a more transient population. There's nothing inherently wrong with that (and I realize I’m contributing to it myself), but I’m hoping for something with more rooted connections.

How easy is it to make friends or date in Raleigh? I know it’s a broad question, but if anyone has lived in both places and can compare, that would be super helpful!

Additionally, are there any neighborhoods or locations I should avoid? I’m considering purchasing a home but want to stay within 15-20 minutes of Raleigh.

Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Interesting coincidence. A few days before the recent announcement, I decided to unsubscribe from Kagi. Although I appreciate being able to find what I'm searching for, I've found Kagi to be quite unforgiving when it comes to typos and even simple corrections. For instance, if I search for "Master & Dynamic's" from an article by selecting and searching the text, I get zero results because only "Master & Dynamic" is considered the correct form. This behavior can be quite frustrating, and I find myself appending a "g" to my searches and using Google more often than not. If Kagi hopes to win over the general public, they need to improve in this area. With Google's 'AI search' now being a thing, this shouldn't be a difficult task.

I really like it, and the support is quick to respond. Their web app is really feature-packed too, and they have multiple connectors for different banks/accounts so I've been able to link all my accounts which wasn't possible with mint!

I'm in! Same thing as last year -- a remix or a piece of music. Haven't picked the source material yet but I'm eyeing Bruises by Lewis Capaldi or a Petite Biscuit track :) Good luck to everyone...

A bit of a tangent, but this is the first time I've come across travelzoo. Are there any similar aggregators you'd recommend? I know costco travel packages are also recommended in general.

Haha you beat me to this! Really happy I don't have to use the 'g' bang anymore. Might split it with a friend to bring down the cost even more. What's $5 like -- half an avocado toast? ;)

Is there any precedence for companies that have been sued for something like this even though they claim to not be liable?

There are product liability standards that may apply. A person giving directions across a collapsed bridge would absolutely be held liable.

    Hello everyone,

I'm back with another remix after a hiatus. A friend of mine challenged me to make something 'aggressive', and that is what I've done with this track. I had too much fun pushing the limits of what I normally do, and I hope y'all like it as much as I do! =)

That range is great for my commute but it'd be completely impractical for my life.

The arms race of building bigger and bigger SUVs, and now electric SUVs that are heavier do not bode well for someone in this lil fella :(

Came across this cute little EV called Microlino (https://microlino-car.com/en/microlino) I think it's great to see smaller cars, although this seems a tad impractical.

A bit of a tangent but they have a patreon and I've noticed there are a few M4L ableton devices to create generative sounds like those on this album.

Here's a MusicRadar article summary by Kagi:

Here's a MusicRadar article summary by Kagi:

"KOAN Sound's new album Led By Ancient Light tells a sci-fi story through music. Each of the 13 tracks accompanies a chapter in the novella and visuals. To align the narrative and music, the duo explored unfamiliar techniques like writing fiction and recording cello and piano in novel ways. This challenging process of merging different creative forms felt like starting anew but allowed them to tap deeper into human emotions. The result is a cohesive work that reflects their personal journeys reconnecting with humanity in an increasingly digital world."

This is the latest album from Koan Sound which was released yesterday!

    From wiki:

"KOAN Sound (/ˈkoʊən/ KOH-ən;[1] named after the word kōan) is an English electronic music production duo from Bristol, consisting of Will Weeks and Jim Bastow."

"They initially gained recognition as dubstep producers, with earlier popular tracks including "Akira". Some of their many types of music includes glitch hop, neurohop, and Drum & Bass. The duo have since released music on various labels including Inspected Records and Owsla, and have worked with a number of other artists, including producer Asa and singer Ed Sheeran."

The entire album if worth a listen, but if you're in a hurry, here's a couple tracks that might convince you to listen to the entire album ;)

    1. Ascension
    2. Liquid Levity

There's no vocals on any of the tracks, and the focal point seems to be a cello, and of course, their intricate drums.
I hear quite a bit of different genres, ranging from boombap, dnb, to neuro!

If anyone is aware of other artists that make similar music, I'm all ears!
Have you listened to Koan Sound before this?
