The BJP officer-bearers are also surprised by the visit of ‘Panga’ girl whose political aspirations are not hidden from anyone.
While seeking anonymity, a senior BJP leader informed TOI that there could be a possibility of Kangna making a foray in the politics from Himachal Pradesh (HP) since she also hails from Mandi district where MP elections were due following alleged suicide by the sitting MP Ram Saroop Sharma in March.
Ever since the death of Sharma, there are speculations that Kangna could contest from the Mandi Lok Sabha seat on BJP ticket. And being a Rajput, she has brilliant chances of acceptance in the area.
There are others of the view that Kangana's visit serves both political as well as commercial purposes. Along with the promotion of her upcoming movies - Tejas, Thalaivi and Dhaakad - she could be eyeing on Sikh voters in Himachal. “These are still speculations but something is there, this is what we view so far,” said sources.
Kangna in recent past had courted controversy following her alleged derogatory remarks against an elderly woman participating in the ongoing farmers' agitation by terming her as ‘women available for Rs 100’ following which Sikh bodies had sought an unconditional apology from her.
