NEW DELHI: The Shahdol constituency in Madhya Pradesh witnessed a closely contested election, with Smt. Himadri Singh of the Bharatiya Janata Party emerged victorious, securing 711,143 votes. She defeated her nearest rival, Phunde Lal Singh Marko of the Indian National Congress, by a margin of 397,340 votes. Marko received 313,803 votes.

Other candidates in the fray included Anil Singh Dhurvey of the Gondvana Gantantra Party, who polled 35,278 votes, Dhani Ram Kol of the Bahujan Samaj Party with 21,854 votes, and Samar Shah Singh Gond of the Communist Party of India, who secured 19,883 votes.Independent candidates Keshkali Baiga and Gunjan Singh received 10,071 and 7,479 votes, respectively.
