With Metro work completed, BEST buses restart on Gokhale Road stretch in Dadar West from Tuesday
MUMBAI: Some of the BEST bus services have been restarted from Tuesday on the stretch of Gokhale Road, Dadar West, which was shut for Metro work in 2019.
A senior BEST official said: “The Gokhale Road stretch has been restored in the Up direction between Ranade Road junction and R G Gadkari chowk from 1.45 pm on Tuesday. Our buses have been diverted since 2019 for Metro work on this stretch -- which has now been completed."
He further said: “All routes going towards Mahim and Plaza cinema from Shivaji Park are now restarted.

This includes bus route numbers 2, 28, 33, 37, 85, 87, 92 among a few other routes,” he added.
The buses had to take a detour in the past due to the Metro work and this was an inconvenience to a section of commuters.
