The Kerala-style hair oil is known as Neelibringadi and is a unique blend of natural ingredients that work together to deliver strong and nourished hair from the roots.
This Kerala oil can be made at home as one requires a handful of curry leaves, 1 tablespoon of soaked fenugreek seeds, 2 tablespoons of hibiscus powder, 10-15 small onions, a scoop of aloe vera gel, 10-12 peppercorns, and 500 ml of coconut oil. Boil all the ingredients for 15 minutes. Take it off the stove and cool it down. Strain it and store in a glass bottle.
Curry leaves have high beta-carotene and protein, preventing hair greying and hair loss. Whereas, methi or fenugreek seeds are great for dandruff and aloe vera strengthens the roots.
Everyday use of the oil can get you manageable and frizz-free hair. It also naturally enhances hair growth with a natural color.
The Kerala oil possesses anti-fungal and anti-dandruff effects and also aids in slowing the process of baldness.
The induction of coconut hair oil in the Kerala oil protects the hair from the external harmful damage caused by chemicals in shampoos. So, ahead of using shampoos, you can use this oil and then move ahead.
Neelibringadi coconut oil can be used every day before going for a head bath. Use a sufficient amount and seep deep into the scalp and hair, followed by a gentle massage.
It is only for external use. The oil can be applied daily in small quantities with a gentle massage for around five minutes. If you’re not prone to cough and cold, then you can keep it for the entire night.
To deal with dry and brittle hair, one can also add sesame seeds which would be effective for damaged hair ends and are then known as the Kairali Neelibringadi Kera Thailam oil.
