Jesse Lee Soffer Joins 'FBI: International' After 'Chicago P.D.' Exit Jesse Lee Soffer Joins 'FBI: International' After 'Chicago P.D.' Exit

Jesse Lee Soffer is back in the Dick Wolf world — but not as Jay Halstead. Soffer has nabbed a series regular part in Season 4 of “FBI: International,” which airs on CBS. He previously portrayed Detective Halstead on ten seasons of NBC’s “Chicago P.D.” He left the show in 2022.

Soffer will replace Luke Kleintank, who played Scott Forrester in “FBI: International” since its debut and left near the end of Season 3 last year. Carter Redwood, Vinessa Vidotto, Christina Wolfe and Eva-Jane Willis also star.

The casting news comes as a bit of a surprise since many viewers were hopeful Halstead would appear in the future on “Chicago P.D.,” a door he kept open when the character left Intelligence to take a job with the Army in Bolivia. (“I still love Halstead. Halstead’s always going to be in my blood. That’s never going to change,” he told Variety at the time.) However, now that Soffer is portraying a new character, that seems more unlikely.
