About IGNinsider What is IGNinsider? IGNinsider is a password-protected "club" site only accessible by IGNinsider subscribers. We have created the IGNinsider subscription program to offer our current users even more features and exclusive content, and to ensure IGN continues to publish the amount of game reviews and previews, news, interviews, guides and codes that our users demand well into the future. Login and Subscription issues How do I become an IGNinsider? It's easy! If you are already registered for IGN click here. If you are not currently registered for IGN click here. Can I use the same Username and Password I use to for MyIGN and IGNmail? Yes, your current MyIGN username and Password can be used once you have subscribed to IGNinsider. Can I change my Username? We're sorry, it's not possible to change your IGNinsider Username. What if I've forgotten my Username or password? If you have forgotten or lost your IGNinsider Username and/or Password you can go to here and have the login info sent to your email address. Can I change my password? Yes you can change your password. To do so: 1) Log into IGN.com with your Username and password. 2) Click 'personalize/my.ign' at the top of the page 3) Click 'my.profile' 4) Enter your current password in the 'Current Password' field 5) Enter your New password in the 'New Password' and 'Verify Password' fields 6) Click 'save changes' Can I change the email address associated with my IGNinsider Username? Yes you can change the email address associated with your IGNinsider username, but only if you know your password. 1) Log into IGN.com with your Username and password 2) Click 'personalize/my.ign' at the top of the page 3) Click 'my.profile' 4) Enter your current password in the 'Current Password' field 5) Enter your new email address in the appropriate field 6) Click 'save changes' I'm not in the United States, why do I have to choose a state? If you're not in the U.S., please choose the blank or null options in the state pulldown menu and fill in the rest of your address information in the open text fields provided. About Payment and Sponsorship How much does it cost to be an IGNinsider? It's $4.95 for a one month subscription, $11.95 for a three month subscription, or $24.95 for a 12 month subscription. What is the renewal price? Your subscription will automatically renew at the current rate. If you originally subscribed at a rate lower than what is current, you will be charged the current rate. What are my payment options? All users can pay for IGNinsider using a credit card issued by American Express, VISA or MasterCard. Users living in the United States can also pay by using a debit card associated with VISA or MasterCard. Annual subscriptions can be paid via PayPal. US users can also pay for annual subscriptions using a paper check, money order or cash (U.S. dollars only). If paying with cash, payment must be sent via certified mail. Please note: Monthly and three month subscriptions can not be paid for using PayPal, paper check, money order or cash. All transactions are protected. Who can I make my check or money order payable to? Check and money orders are payable to: Snowball.com - IGNinsider How can I cancel my subscription? Click here to cancel automatic renewal of your subscription. Can I get a refund if I cancel my subscription? Yes. Send us an email requesting that we refund your IGNinsider account. Please include "refund" in the subject heading and include the email address you used to register, your Username, your first and last name and the last four digits of your Credit Card number. Your refund will be pro-rated based upon a daily usage fee, the amount of days used, and the level of your subscription. An additional $5.00 processing fee will also be applied. What if I do not qualify for any of the IGNinsider Sponsor Programs? Either pay by check, money order or credit card or wait for new offers. We are working hard to get a set of diverse offers up. We are adding new sponsors weekly - so if you do not want to pay, check back often. What if I cancel my sponsor's offer after I have gotten a free IGNinsider subscription? If you do not maintain your service with your IGNinsider sponsor for a certain period of time (usually 30-60 days), your sponsor will not pay for your subscription. Should you cancel too early, we will be forced to terminate your subscription. You can then choose a different sponsor or pay by check, money order or credit card. I applied for a sponsor's offer but I have not heard anything back? What's up? Some sponsors take longer than others to process and/or approve your application for their service. Please be patient and you will hear from us soon. I have a sponsored subscription and want to renew my membership with check, money order or credit card payment. What should I do? We will send you an email before your membership expires. Just click on the link in that email and follow the instructions. Should you not receive that email, simply click on subscribe at IGNInsider once your subscription runs out. I've already received my credit card/DVDs/CDs/promotional merchandise-services from your sponsor, but I have not heard from IGNinsider and I can not access IGNinsider. What's up? It is common to get your credit card/DVDs/CDs/promotional merchandise-services from your sponsor before you hear from us. Here is what happens. When one of our sponsors contacts us about sponsoring you for a FREE subscription to IGNinsider we will activate your subscription. At this time you will get a Welcome email from us that contains your login information. This process can take weeks in some cases, your patience is appreciated. Using IGNinsider Features I can't log in, why not? 1) Are you sure you are an IGNinsider? Have you received a Welcome email from IGNinsider? Do you have proof of payment? Often users begin the process of subscription but do not finish it and are therefore not yet with IGNinsider. 2) Are you sure you are using the correct Username and password? To get your Username and password go to http://my.ign.com/my/sb?network=1&nuaction;=forgotusername_getEmail and enter your email address. We will send your Username and password. 3) Are you using the correct Username? Many users of IGN.com have multiple usernames, in most cases only one of these Usernames is a valid IGNinsider. Please check your Welcome email to verify which Username is your IGNinisder Username. 4) Each time I login in with the correct Username and password I am brought back to the login screen, with no feedback, as if nothing had happened. What's up? If this is happening to you and you are a valid IGNinsider you need to set your browser to accept cookies. If you do not have your browser set to accept cookies you will not gain access to IGNinsider. 5) I keep getting the error message "Our records indicate you are already a member of IGNinsider..." and I can not access IGNinsider content. What gives? Log out and then log back in again. This should solve the problem. Please let us know if you continue to have problems. I can't download the IGN Unplugged Magazine or a PDF Guide? Please click on the file you want to download and then be very patient. When the file is completely downloaded, Adobe Acrobat will open and then open the PDF. If you browser says "Done", let it keep running anyway. Chances are it is not actually "Done". Be patient. Let it keep coming and see if Adobe Acrobat opens. Please also note that downloads on IGNinsider only support resuming if you use Internet Explorer 5.0 or above. You can not use a download manager to download media from IGNinsider. I can't download the movies, why not? Most videos on IGN.com and IGNinsider are in the QuickTime format only. You must have QuickTime 5.0 installed to watch the movies on IGN. Click here to download a copy of QuickTime. If you click to view a movie and Windows Media Player loads, you might not have QuickTime installed.
