What is a CD-R?A CD-R (Compact Disc Recordable) is a WORM (Write Once, Read Multiple) media with a net capacity of 650 or 700 MB. CD-Rs and conventional CDs (you buy in a store) are not physical identical: CD-Rs are burned with a laser (CD recorder), whereas conventional CDs are pressed in a factory. While they're not physically identical, they work just the same. Hardware RequirementsYour system must be equipped with a CD player which can read 700MB (80-minute) CD-Rs. Software RequirementsMiKTeX requires one of the following Windows versions:
