Contains detailed national accounts estimates for most countries and areas of the world for the period 1992-2003. The national data for each country and area are presented in separate chapters using uniform table headings and classifications recommended in the United Nations System of National Accounts 1993 (SNA 1993). A summary of the conceptual framework of the SNA 1993 and definitions of important terms are also included. Based on availability of official data, the following sequence of tables is displayed for each country or area:

Take a look at this sample chapter of a country that provided the UN with the complete set of national accounts data.

Not all UN member countries were able to provide a complete set of data. Data availability varies across countries and fiscal years. Our data availability table systematically depicts how many records the PDF file displays for each country, each yearbook table, and each fiscal year.

The publication displays series numbers with the published data series. The series number indicates for the user whether data for different items or tables may be put in relation to each other to compile ratios. A series note at the top of each table describes the characteristics of each series, i.e. the SNA system used in compilation, the currency, and the type of fiscal year.
