Executive Vice President, Sales
Location: Atlanta, GA

Job Summary:

    The Convex Group seeks an entrepreneurial, proven sales executive to join our team as Executive Vice President of Sales. This leadership position will be tasked with building and managing our outside and inside network advertising sales teams, focused on selling advertising and building compelling sponsorship programs for Fortune 2000 advertisers both directly and through agencies.

    The position requires an extensive background in online ad sales and proven success in growing and building world-class sales organizations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Build, motivate and manage network ad sales teams.
  • Create, package and price innovative sponsorship packages.
  • Accountable for exceeding the aggressive sales quotas of the team, while partnering with the Network Services Group and Marketing team to ensure customer retention and continued satisfaction of clients through maximizing ad campaign performance.
  • Design and implement successful sales strategies and appropriate variable compensation plans.
  • Liaise with divisional, cross-brand senior management to develop compelling strategies, incorporating org-wide resources/relationships to create revenue opportunities.
Qualifications:
  • BA or BS in Business, Marketing or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years proven outside sales experience, preferably in a media, technology or consumer environment; 3 years of internet ad sales to Fortune 2000 accounts with annual sales quotas of at least $3 million preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of solid sales management/leadership experience at higher than a VP level.
  • Held an executive sales position with an interactive agency.
  • Excellent understanding of online advertising sales; multi-brand, large portfolio experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation, networking, time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience in creating compelling ad campaigns require.
  • Proficient with MS Office, Salesforce.com, etc.

Project Manager, HowStuffWorks.com

Job Summary:

    HowStuffWorks.com seeks a Project Manager who can effectively define, design and successfully implement multiple online offerings. Candidates must have thorough understanding of project management methodology.

    The Project Manager will be responsible for gathering feedback from internal and external stakeholders in order to define current and future business/systems requirements for content, functional and user interface integration. This position will manage the overall product development process across multiple functional groups, including editorial, marketing, design and development. Candidates must have the ability to work effectively in a flexible, fast-paced environment.

Required Skills:

    This candidate must be a strong communicator, both in-person and in writing, with effective problem solving abilities. This candidate must have the ability to exhibit effective project management skills, facilitate team meetings/interviews and use effective listening techniques across multiple functional disciplines. Candidates must also have working knowledge of online best-practices.

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Establish and maintain working relationships with business owners and functional team members.
  • Manage multiple projects and tasks successfully.
  • Report status, issues and risks to the Program Management Director.
  • Manage and control changes in project scope while communicating impact to management and project team
  • Creating and managing project launch schedules.
  • Manage team workload, assist with the definition and prioritization of upcoming projects, define appropriate staffing.
  • Proactively work to identify and resolve issues.
  • Capture and write requirements and other project documentation.
  • Determine best-practices for integration and maintenance processes.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of project management experience in delivering Web-based solutions.

Search Engine Marketing Manager
Location: Atlanta, GA

Job Summary:

    The Convex Group seeks an experienced Search Engine Marketing Professional to implement and manage our pay-per-click marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a large paid search (PPC) program through Google, Yahoo/Overture, MSN and third-tier platforms.
  • Research and select keywords to target.
  • Write ad copy.
  • Develop and manage bidding/optimization strategy using tools like Atlas One Point.
  • Design and perform tests to increase click-through rates, conversion rates and profit margin.
  • Develop forecasts/projections of click-thru, conversion rates and revenue generated.
  • Continually review campaign success and identify improvement actions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Strong knowledge of Search Engines and how they work.
  • Experience managing large PPC campaigns of at least 10,000 search terms.
  • Experience using web analytics tools such as NetTracker and/or WebTrends.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Access and Excel.
