1. Why can't I download piano sheets:

Offering copyrighted sheet music for download is not legal. It means, you can't download sheet music on PianoFiles.com.
The only way to enlarge your sheet collection is trade your own sheets. (read below)

2. How does the PianoFiles trade concept work:

Become a member and login. Search for the song you want. Send an email to someone who has the song. It's nice to offer a trade.
All sharing is done by e-mail, no downloading.
If you can attach a file to an email (or save a file attached to an email), that's as technical as you need to be.
Then be willing to share and trade with other members.
This way, you will enlarge your collection very quickly and without searching the net. The sheets will come to you!

3. How do I scan my sheets:

If you have a scanner, you can easily scan your sheets directly to a pdf file using Adobe Distiller.
Set your scanner on Black and White, 150 dpi and start scanning.
Be sure you scan all notes, because it would be a pity having an incomplete sheet!
For more scan advice, go to the messageboard.

4. I can't login:

The membership email provides you with a random made password. Select the password and use crtl-c, crtl-v to past the password into the login form. So, be sure you typed the passwd correctly.
If the problem remains, contact the webmaster.

5. I signed in but didn't receive a membership email:

There are only 2 possible options.
1. You used a wrong email, so the membership email couldn't be delivered.
Solution: you will have register again using another nickname and a correct email or wait 2 weeks and the nickname will be released.
2. You are sure you entered a correct email address.
Solution: Be sure you check the settings for your spam blocker or any other mail program. Sometimes, emails are blocked by the provider. Therefor, try another email address.

In the end, there might have been a server problem sending the email which is out of my control (hosting compagny service). If you know for sure you entered your email correctly, contact the webmaster and mention your username.

6. I don't have any sheet to trade. What do I do:

If you don't have any file to trade, buy some piano sheets online. Only this way, everyone can enjoy to play new sheets.
Online sheet music stores:
