1. I just can't seem to get over the outrageous prices/sq.ft. in NYC. I mean $1300/sq.ft. for a studio is pretty darn expensice, no matter where you are. As an architect who has worked on some very, and i mean very, expensive renovation projects (including the most expensive condo ever put up for sale in atlanta) $1300/sq.ft. can buy you some VERY VERY nice finishes, not just gypboard and glass tile. Yes i know that land costs are outrageous up there, but common... besides, who wants to live in 413 sq.ft?
