Git R Done beer created for Larry the Cable Guy

larry the cable guyIf you didn't think that slipping into your favorite yellowing wife beater tank top and throwing back a couple of PBRs was "redneck" enough, then it's a good thing that a local microbrewery has come up with Git-R-Done.

On Saturday, SchillingBridge Winery and MicroBrewery launched Git-R-Done Beer in honor of one of America's most (in)famous redneck comedians, Larry the Cable Guy. The light beer, according to Mike Schilling, the owner of the brewery in the town where Larry the Cable Guy grew up, "is made from high-quality ingredients with more flavor and body than popular corporate beers."

Because quality, you know, is important to rednecks.

1. Well "more body" sounds like Larry, but I don't know about that high-quality ingredients and more flavor. Seems like anyone on the Blue Collar Comedy Tour wouldn't be that concerned with the flavor of their beer. :)

2. Hey, I object the the assumption that PBR is redneck! I live in a major metrolopitan area (1 mil+)with no 'rednecks' in sight and it's served at many a local bar.

3. PBR is the hipster beer of choice now. But Rainer or Milwaukee's Best will always be the redneck beer of choice.

4. When I do drink beer, it's light beer, and I love Larry, I'm so going to try this. Possibly tommorow. Part of my childhood was spent being the uber-redneck, so I will lift a glass--er, bottle--in memoriam. :D
