July 9, 2007 - The idle days of summer usually bring with it the most balls-out movie features for the year, and with good reason. Audiences expect to be entertained this time of year and that usually means adrenaline-pumping action fests that cater to our basest cinematic desires: thrills, chills, and wanton carnage. Expectations are usually high for the action side of summer blockbusters and low for their complexity, and more often that not people are fine with that. Where the stuff really hits the fans is when, despite having millions of dollars put towards production and hype, the film underperforms on every level.

Diet Pepsi Max, which promises to never let you crash into a slump, presents a three-part series on our 15 all-time Favorite Action Movie Yawners. These are movies that failed to deliver the goods, and as payback we collectively doomed these films to life in the $2.99 bargain bin at the Wal.
