Compressed Air and Gas Institute

When it comes to power sources, we all need a breath of fresh air.

That’s why we are inviting engineering undergraduates to enter the Compressed Air & Gas Institute’s Innovation Awards.

Now more than ever, engineers need to be familiar with all the power sources available. That’s why this contest invites engineering undergrads to compete to have their design honored as an innovative use of compressed air. Students submit their air-powered designs for judging by members of the CAGI, the association of manufacturers of compressed air systems and equipment.

It’s a gas! Student teams will be challenged to create innovative designs, using compressed air as the power source. Just like the air your breathe, registration and contest entry is free!

Who will win? It’s up in the air. Prizes include:

  • First Place: $8,000 to the winning school, and $2,500 to the winning student team
  • Second Place: $4,000 to the winning school, and $1,500 to the winning student team
  • Plus national publicity, helping your school and students get noticed!

Click the links at left to read on about rules and guidelines, register to enter, and fill out entry forms. Teams must register by October 31, 2007 and deadline for submission is March 1, 2008 Winners will be announced on April 1, 2008. All of us at CAGI hope to see engineering students in the contest. Because changing the world is a breeze!
