European stocks end lower

LONDON (AP) - European stocks closed out the third quarter on a negative note, amid concern that euro-zone growth is on the wane, and could eat into corporate profits.

The U.K.'s FTSE 100 Index fell 0.3 percent to 6,466.8, while France's CAC-40 Index fell 0.3 percent to 5,715.69. Germany's DAX Index dropped 0.1 percent to 7,861.51.
