Christmas Get-Together
Celebration at the Society’s HQ on 5 December 2007 6.30 - 8.30 pm
Space tourism on a budget of £1.57 Richard Osborne
The X-prize brought out space tourism contenders from around the world. Away from the glare of publicity, a number of concepts were quietly explored in the UK, some more practical than others. Ranging from a rocket powered hypersonic hydrofoil through to a reworked Black Arrow with a midget crew capsule, this talk provides a humorous overview of some of the more creative concepts.
This informal event provides an excellent opportunity to meet with friends again and talk with Society representatives.
Apply for tickets, price £10, including refreshments, to the Executive Secretary, The British Interplanetary Society, 27/29 South Lambeth Road, London SW8 1SZ, enclosing sae or apply online here.
